ABOUT ABEL EDITING
My name is Mary Beth Abel. I live in the Magnolia neighborhood of Seattle. Because I love to read and write, I have always included this “work” and learning in my life. I minored in English in college. I read novels and wrote poetry whenever I was feeling stuck in graduate school. Off and on, I have recorded my daily life in a journal and this has been especially true during my travels and more recently to document life with my sweet son since he was born in 2016. In 2000, I left high school science teaching and began working on writing science textbooks. In 2009, I completed the Certificate in Editing program at the University of Washington. Shortly after that, I began this business. I am a member of the Magnolia Chamber of Commerce and a member of the Editorial Freelancers Association.
