I have been a key member of the writing team for this company since 2000. My expertise includes a quick ability to research and write about complex information so that it is interesting and accessible to readers, a keen sensibility for developing engaging educational materials, and a passion for unifying language and text formatting through proofreading and editing.

Of the 10+ texts our company has published since 2000, I have been the lead author on two earth science texts. This work experience has allowed me to grow and thoroughly enjoy writing, editing, and researching in a challenging but supportive and team-oriented environment. I have expertise in using Adobe Framemaker and Microsoft Word (including Track Changes).

  2008 – present:
Freelance proofreader and editor in the Seattle area.

In the past few years, I have happily edited websites, memoirs, a self-help book manuscript, and various essays and cover letters for individuals seeking employment.

Recipient of an LLC grant from the City of Somerville, Massachusetts, to choreograph a performance of musicians and dancers.
  2003 – present:
Professional Middle Eastern dancer and instructor. Currently a member of the Tawasol World Dance Ensemble.
  2001 – 2007:
Various positions on committees at my church in Cambridge, MA including two years as the Social Action Chairperson.
  General interests include science, botany, all the arts, literature,
languages, and social justice.
